Optimal laboratory equipment with precision drying ovens
Dehumidification, heating or thermal treatment of substances must be carried out under laboratory conditions in exact doses. Thanks to its process control, the Nabertherm drying oven is ideally suited for use in research facilities, laboratories and medical technology companies. By integrating it into the local IT network, complete documentation is provided, storable via USB stick.
Here you can get a first overview of the product features and technical data. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our team, who will be pleased to explain the design, operation and function of the drying oven to you.
Characteristics and equipment features
Typical for these compact devices made of a chamber in stainless steel (material 1.4301 DIN) is the double-sided heating, which guarantees an even temperature in the whole interior. In combination with a horizontally forced air circulation and openings for air equalization in the door and rear wall, air pressure and heat supply remain constant. Temperatures up to 300 °C are continuously adjustable and are precisely maintained within a tolerance range of +/- 5 °C by the PID microprocessor control.
The walls of the table models TR 60 to TR 420 and drying ovens TR 450 to TR1050 are equipped with an insulating layer of fiber material, the swing door hinges on the right or is double-winged, depending on the unit variant. The quick-locking system saves the user time in case of frequent use. The goods are stored variably on several levels on grids. Short heat-up time, uniform temperature and high drying capacity with low-noise operation characterize the models of the TR Series from Nabertherm.
The infinitely adjustable working temperature and circulating air allows a wide range of tasks such as dry sterilization, warm storage or tempering of laminates. The permanent control, process control and documentation of the running processes is realized by MV software package "Controltherm".
Selecting the right drying oven model
Size and equipment vary. The list shows some features:
-
TR 60: With a nominal capacity of 60 liters, power consumption of 3000 watts and maximum operating temperature of 300 °C, this right-opening tabletop model is space-saving.
-
TR 240: Benchtop model with capacity of 240 liters is optimal for drying, hot storage or sterilization of medium sized batches up to 300 °C, right opening and quick release.
-
TR 450: floor model with T max 300° C, large handle, 450 liters internal capacity.
-
TR 1050: Designed for large objects and batches with 1050 liters of space at 300 °C and easy to position with casters, double-sided hinged doors allow convenient loading with 4 slide-in grids.
Functionality in unity with design
The concentrated cabinet form in stainless steel looks sober and functional. The slide-in niches lock the easy-to-clean grids in place perfectly. Low-noise, clearly arranged controls and orderly interior make work easier.
Thanks to insulated handles, the doors can be operated safely during operation using the quick-lock system. The largest TR 1050 drying oven is also easy to move, thanks to transport rollers. TR 60 to 420 are tabletop models.
The model offers uniform temperatures due to the horizontally forced air circulation. The exhaust fan on the back avoids contact with hot exhaust gas.
Horizontally forced air circulation fan
Heated air rises in natural recirculation, which means a temperature deficit for the lower area. To achieve a homogeneous temperature in every cubic centimeter of the interior of a heating cabinet, a special air flow must be generated that reverses the natural heat propagation.
The horizontally acting force is targeted by a precisely aligned airflow geometry.
Safe operation guaranteed
Overheating protection, Controltherm software and DIN EN 1539 conformity of products from Nabertherm guarantee safe operation of all models at all times. Since vapors are always generated when chemical substances are heated, safety for the user of dryers and ovens is paramount.
Summary data and our recommendation
The basic TR 60 model is a sensitively controlled, high-performance drying oven. It can be used for a wide range of applications.
Thanks to the space-saving external dimensions of the TR 60 700 mm x 510 mm x 350 mm (W x D x H), the unit can be integrated as a bench model in any laboratory. The acceptable weight of 90 kg prevents unintentional movement. The surface and interior are easy to clean. With 3000 Watt power consumption, the high-performance heating furnace guarantees that the set temperature is reached quickly and maintained safely.
Data sheet 1.4301 according to DIN X5CrNi 18-10 regulates the requirements for the composition of an alloy and density for corrosion resistance. DIN EN 1539 regulates the safety when operating dryers and ovens when flammable substances are released. All our products are compliant with the regulations.
