The RW 47 digital impresses with its extremely robust, ergonomic design, quiet operation and with a housing material made of thermoplastic (polymer) with cast aluminum coating and its removable control panel. During operation, the item is pleasantly quiet thanks to its smooth motor. The dimensions of the model are 145 mm x 478 mm x 358 mm. So, thanks to its compact dimensions, you can easily use and store this model in smaller working areas. The mixer comes with a weight(without accessories) of 16.6 kg.

Infinitely variable speed

The RW 47 has the option of infinitely variable speed adjustment (min 57 - 1300 rpm) in two speed ranges of 53-275 rpm and 275-1300 rpm. The frequency is 50 Hz. The setting accuracy is ±1 rpm, the maximum deviation of the speed measurement is ±10 rpm. The speed can be read at any time on a digital LED speed display. Thanks to the infinitely adjustable speed, you can precisely adjust the speed to your work. You can also secure mixing vessels. Whether for fine work or rough, the device is flexible and adapts to your needs. Thanks to the high setting accuracy, you always have full control over your work and can achieve precise results.

The digital agitator adjusts the speed automatically, controlled by microprocessors. An overload protection as well as overheating protection secures the device from overheating. A stirring shaft protection as well as a stirring tool attachment are also optionally available.

The device also requires a 3-phase power supply for operation and should only be connected by a specialist for safety reasons. The RW 47 is also certified to IP protection class in accordance with DIN EN 60529: IP 54, which defines the degree of protection for persons and equipment and the degree of protection against water.

Alternative devices of the IKA "RW series

As an alternative to the RW 47 digital model, the manufacturer IKA offers the smaller RW 28 digital laboratory stirrer, designed for processing and intensive mixing of samples and pilot plants and a stirring volume of up to 80 liters (H2O). It has a motor power of 220/90 W, but a wider speed range of min 60-1680 rpm in total, unlike the basic model "RW 47", which has only the frequency 50 Hz, on two different frequencies (50 Hz and 60Hz). Otherwise, it comes up with the same specifications and advantages as its "big brother". The article of the manufacturer convinces with the infinitely adjustable speed and a quiet motor principle including overload protection.

Stirring shaft protection and a tripod mounting: Accessories

Various stand mounts are available as optional accessories for the RW 47 digital, as telescopic and floor stands, to which the device can be easily attached by flange. Numerous stirrer elements are available and can be purchased individually to complement the RW 47 as required. These include propeller, spiral and centrifugal stir rers for axial flow as well as dissolver, disk and surface stirrers for radial flow. In addition, a stirrer shaft guard(R 303) and a clamping device (R 6547.1) for fixing vessels are available.

The SI 400 safety limit switch and the SI 272 and SI 474 holders, which ensure its safe attachment to a floor or telescopic stand, allow you to switch on the device at a precisely defined height in the working area of the stand. A USB interface helps to transfer the recorded data.
