Nabertherm Sintering Furnace LT 02/13 CR for Cobalt-Chrome Restorations
The Nabertherm sintering furnace LT 02/13 CR is a device for the working area of cobalt-chromium restorations. The sintering furnace for cobalt-chrome enables heat treatment under argon atmosphere. The sintering furnace has an innovative design and works with sintering beads and a special sintering bell. The argon allows sintering to take place in an almost oxygen-free environment.
With the LT 02/13 CR, Nabertherm has created an open system that can be used for a wide variety of materials and is used as a dental furnace in the dental technology sector and in dentistry.
The main features
The manufacturer offers a wide range of equipment that can be used for sintering zirconia. The Lt 02/13 CR device is also intended for dental laboratories and dentistry. The furnace is suitable for sintering cobalt-chromium restorations and allows for use in low-oxygen or near-oxygen atmosphere. The unit has a special sintering bell into which the sintered material is placed.
The sintered material is heat-treated under argon. The sintering bell has a good seal and sintering consumes comparatively little argon due to the special design. Thanks to the design and integrated technology, the sintering of different materials can be freely programmed. The manufacturer states that sintering is possible up to a sintering temperature of 1,300 °C (T.max. 1300 °C).
The unit offers two individually adaptable programs (pattern programs). The presets are already available and you can easily configure them as desired. The LT 02/13 CR unit can be connected to the single-phase power supply.
Practical equipment and modern design
The sintering furnace from Nabertherm has a housing made of stainless steel (double-walled, stainless steel textured sheet). Due to the design of the housing and the materials used, the unit remains stable even at high internal temperatures. The sintering beads have a diameter of 1.25 mm. The gassing system is equipped with a flow meter and a solenoid valve.
The sintering bell is well sealed and allows sintering under argon atmosphere for up to 30 units. The unit offers a gassing circuit and automatic temperature control.
The C550 controller offers the possibility to set the desired parameters (freely programmable). The heating is controlled by a switchgear equipped with solid state relays. Compressed air for rapid cooling is also available as an option.
Innovative controls
This unit uses innovative technologies and is designed for cobalt-chromium sintering. The operation of the unit is simple via the touch function. The C550 controller can be set via touch operation and offers 10 programs.
The programs are divided into 20 segments each . The innovative oven allows the setting of two gas quantities. Users can optimally adjust the gas quantities to the sintering process.
Safety through the use of insulation materials
In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP), only insulation materials without classification are used. No aluminum silicate wool is used. The so-called RCF fiber is subject to classification and is considered to be possibly carcinogenic.
Technical data at a glance
This model operates at a temperature of up to 1280 °C. Tmax is specified as 1,300 °C. It offers innovative technology. We have listed the most important parameters below.
The interior of the device is 130 mm wide, 120 mm deep and 120 mm high. The volume is 1.9 liters. Without optional elements, the external dimensions are 422 mm x 320 mm x 430 mm (WxDXH). If a compressed air connection is used for rapid cooling, the model comes to a depth of 430 mm.
For the height, 230 mm must be added when the lift door is open. The weight is given as 25 kg. With the furnace closed and empty, the heating time to Tmax is about 35 minutes.
The process purging rate is 1 liter per minute (1 L/min). The connected load is 2.2 kW. Supply voltages of 220 V - 240 V, 208 V and 200 V as well as 1/N/PE or 2/PE are available. It is essential that the model is used as intended in accordance with the operating instructions.
