Memmert U: Your heating oven for universal use

The heating and drying ovens of the Memmert U series have a wide range of uses and come with precisely tuned heating technology and are made of stainless steel. The universal oven U is Memmert's classic and can basically be divided into 2 variants. The Universal oven with the designation UN is based on the principle of natural convection, whereas the universal oven with the designation UF works with forced air circulation

Configuration of the model variants

For both model variants there are different expansion stages. For UN cabinets, starting with the UN 30, there are 8 expansion stages up to the UN 750. For each expansion stage, a premium model is also offered in addition to the basic model. The premium universal cabinets are designated UN 30 Plus to UN 750 Plus. The expansion stages differ in terms of size, capacity and power consumption in ascending order of designation.

The UN 30, for example, has a max. loading of chamber of 32 liters with a power consumption of 230 V and 1600 W. The UN 750 Plus has a capacity of 32 liters. The highest version, the UN 750, has a capacity of 749 liters at a power consumption of 400 V and 7000 W. The UN 30 has a capacity of 32 liters at a power consumption of 230 V and 1600 W.

The Plus variant of the respective expansion stage also comes with a modified display. While the standard versions of the UN models already have a high-quality single display, the Plus version is equipped with a twin display with increased convenience. This allows complex processes to be controlled and monitored even better.

For the universal ovens with forced air circulation, there are even 9 expansion stages available. Here, too, the model series starts with the UF 30, but the highest expansion level is the UF 1060. The technical data of the individual levels are fundamentally identical to those of the UN lab oven, except for the dimensions and volumes. However, the UN 1060 has an increased capacity of 1060 liters with the same power consumption. A Plus variant is also available for the UF universal cabinets for each expansion stage.

Attractive design meets high-quality materials

Every universal oven from Memmert has a high-quality structured stainless steel housing. The high-quality materials guarantee freedom from rust and robustness over the entire service life of the cabinet. The door(s) are also made of stainless steel. The back panel of the cabinets is made of fully galvanized sheet steel.

Each universal cabinet has an interior that is easy to clean and maintain when needed. A ribbing incorporated by deep drawing ensures maximum stability. The protected heating elements are distributed on 4 sides and ensure an even all-round temperature control.

The display is located in the center of the upper edge of the front of the cabinet and can therefore be quickly and easily viewed and operated. Depending on the configuration level, universal ovens from Memmert have a stable stand or are mobile and lockable on castors.

Innovative technologies for your purposes

The all-round surface heating of the U series from Memmert ensures optimum temperature distribution. The well-protected heating elements are close to the load and are also protected against corrosion and calcification. Heat transfer and temperature distribution are also favored by the direct contact between the heating fins and the insertion plate. The ventilation systems by means of convection and forced air circulation also favor these properties. It uses pre heated fresh air. Even in the event of power failures, heat storage and ambient temperature homogeneity continue to be guaranteed by aluminum sheets attached to the outside of the interior.

Units with Twin-Display are equipped with the newly developed upon delivery. The software enables comprehensive programming and documentation of all processes. Remote control allows measures to be taken from anywhere in the world. For devices with single display, a 90-day test version is initially supplied.

Memmert universal ovens for safe processes

All products manufactured by Memmert feature an innovative safety concept. An integrated and adjustable temperature monitor for better temperature control prevents overheating and thus damage to the load and the universal oven. A mechanical temperature limiter TB protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 ensures proper shutdown of the heating if the maximum temperature is exceeded by 20 °C. Furthermore, universal ovens from Memmert have a control technology with a self-diagnosis system for fault detection. The devices also come with a temperature sensor and a compression door lock.

Technical data of the expansion stages

The setting temperature range of heating approx +20 °C to 300 °C is identical for all stages at the Memmert universal oven. The capacity pf the universally applicable lab oven increases with increasing expansion stage, from a minimum of 32 liters up to 749 liters in the highest version. As the size of the unit increases, the number of maximum shelves also increases from a minimum of 3 shelves to a maximum of 14 shelves. The voltage ranges from 230V up to 400V and the power consumption from 1600W up to 7000 W in the UF 1060 version.

The smallest version of this series, the UN30 brings the following dimensions: W x H x D: 400 mm x 320 mm x 250 mm - it can be classified as very compact and space-saving. The largest model, the UN 1060, has the following dimensions including the door handle: 1224 mm x 1720 mm x 1035 mm (D +56mm door handle). The smallest model has a capacity of 32l. With the UN 1060 as the largest expansion stage, a capacity of up to 1060l with a maximum of 14 drawers is possible. The weight of the universal cabinets naturally increases with size and is in the range of 45 kg for the smallest and 252 kg for the largest model.
