Reliable incubator, refrigerated incubator for laboratory and medical use

The device is characterized by its intuitive and user-friendly operating concept"Touch, turn & go!" operating concept with the Memmert ControlCOCKPIT. With the AtmoCONTROL software, a wide range of programming and documentation can be carried out via the integrated data logger. In addition, the IPS has modern interfaces for programming and communication with networks.

Designed specifically for sample storage, the IPS does not require a compressor. This saves valuable space in the laboratory. The proven structured Memmert stainless steel used here is particularly durable, scratch-resistant, easy to clean and hygienic at the same time.

A product-specific heating concept ensures precise and homogeneous temperature control. Electronic temperature monitoring with mechanical temperature limiter and the integrated self-diagnosis system ensure the safety of the user and the load.

With Memmert's worldwide service for spare parts, maintenance, repair, commissioning, software instruction, customer training and IQ/OQ/PQ qualification, you can rely on reliable operation with a long product service life.

Key features and model variants

With the IPS, you can store samples and test shelf lives in a process-safe manner. In laboratory or medical facilities, applications include, for example, the cultivation of microorganisms, bacterial or animal cultures and various incubation or development processes. The device can also be used to precisely investigate the behavior of cells and their growth.

Although the model is not designed for rapid temperature changes, the IPS is perfectly suited to the requirements of storing samples at constant temperatures in the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and medical industries. The ideal solution for energy-efficient and fast heating, cooling and recovery is the IPPeco, the successor model of the IPS. Memmert is the leader in its market segment with this cutting-edge technology.

The temperature range of the IPS is + 14°C to +45 °C. There is a choice of two model sizes, one with a 256-liter and the other with a 749-liter interior volume. The standard double doors made of stainless steel prevent contamination and temperature drop and at the same time allow an optimal view of your temperature goods through full-surface inner glass doors. The fans in the Peltier elements ensure fast energy transport as well as optimal temperature distribution in the interior.

Temperature settings & heating concept

The temperature setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The temperature range for all model variants is +14 °C to +45 °C. The temperature sensor ensures monitoring and function takeover in the event of a fault. The heating concept is based on a Peltier heating/cooling system integrated in the rear panel (energy-saving heat pump principle).

Modern control technology

The ControlCOCKPIT with SingleDisplay contains an adaptive multifunctional PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT color display. Language settings can be made in German, English, Spanish, French, Polish, Czech and Hungarian. The timer with digital reverse clock can be set from one minute to 99 days.

With the SetpointWAIT function, the process time is not started until the setpoint temperature is reached. With the calibration function, three freely selectable temperature values can be set. The temperature can be set in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. In addition, parameters for program run time, time zones and summer or winter time can be set.

Communication & Security

Integrated logging ensures that the program sequence is saved - even in the event of a power failure. With the help of the AtmoCONTROL software, programming as well as managing and transferring the data logger can be done via an Ethernet interface or a USB port. Temperature monitoring is performed with a TB mechanical temperature limiter. A self-diagnosis system is used for error detection.

Functional interior and robust housing

The stainless steel interior has a volume of approx. 256 l. The dimensions in width, height and depth (W x H x D) are 640 mm x 800 mm x 500 mm minus 10 mm for fan - Peltier in depth. A total of 9 shelves can be placed in the interior, with a maximum load of 20 kg per shelf and 200 kg per unit. The unit is equipped with two stainless steel grids (electropolished). A fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking (compression door lock) and inner glass door is installed.

The structural stainless steel cabinet measures 824 mm x 1183 mm x 754 mm in width, height and depth (W x H x D). In addition, there is 56 mm in depth for the door handle. A fully galvanized sheet steel back panel is attached to the rear of the enclosure. The net weight (without packaging) is approximately 113 kg.
