The Memmert ICHeco: gentle and powerful

The new Memmert ICHeco is both climate-friendly and powerful, and is particularly suitable for stability testing of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or foodstuffs . With the climate-friendly refrigerant R744 and a hermetically sealed working chamber, an air jacket in the compressor-cooled temperature chamber ensures even better homogeneity of temperature and humidity. You are thus spared unwanted icing or sample drying. Read on to find out what else the products in this series have to offer.

First-class functions and easy-care design

Using an illumination unit with fluorescent lamps with cool white light and UV rays, the climatic cabinetICHeco L climatic chamber can be used to perform special tests in accordance with ICH Guidelines Q1B, Option 2 (photostability) (model variant with light).

The choice of the right climatic chamber is determined, among other things, by the moisture content of the load, the respective temperature-humidity working range and the ambient conditions. The ICHeco climatic chamber operates in the range of active humidification and dehumidification from 10 to 80 % rh as well as a temperature range from -10 °C to + 60 °C. Within this temperature-humidity range, condensation-free continuous operation is possible. The degree of humidity of the charging material as well as the ambient conditions influence a possible condensation in the limit ranges.

The climatic chamber is characterized by its user-friendly and intuitive operating concept. Via the AtmoCONTROL software, a data logger and interfaces , you can carry out comprehensive programming, especially of the temperature and humidity lamps, as well as documentation. The air exchange rates and air flap control are electronically controllable.

The stainless steel used in the interior and exterior housing is particularly easy to clean and rust-resistant for a long-lasting product. Standard double doors with full interior glass doors protect against contamination and provide optimal visibility of your load.

Choose from three model sizes

The ICHeco is available in three different model sizes from which you can choose exactly the right one for your work area. Versions with 108 liters / 256 liters / 749 liters of interior volume are available. Furthermore, the units convince with their well thought-out technical details and features:

Temperature & heating concept

The setting temperature range for all model variants is -10 to +60 °C without humidity, and +10 to +60 °C with humidity and/or light. The setting accuracy of the temperature is 0.1 °C. Two temperature sensors ensure mutual monitoring and function takeover in the event of a fault.

The cooling system operates with a compressor and climate-friendly refrigerant CO2 (R744), GWP1. An air jacket temperature control system ensures gentle all-round temperature control. Defrosting is performed with a highly efficient automatic defrosting system.

Humidity

Active humidification and dehumidification with digital display of relative humidity is in the range of 10-80 % rh with a display resolution of 0.1 % and a setting accuracy of 0.5%. Humidification is provided by a hot steam generator and self-priming pump for humidity supply from an external tank.

Innovative control technology

The ControlCOCKPIT is equipped with a TwinDisplay as well as an adaptive multifunctional PID microprocessor controller and two high-resolution TFT color displays. These enable you to operate the system particularly intuitively.

The system language can be set in German, English, Spanish, French, Polish, Czech and Hungarian.

The digital reverse clock with integrated timer can be set from one minute to 99 days. The SetpointWAIT function ensures that the process time is not started until the setpoint temperature is reached. With the calibration function, three values can be selected for temperature, humidity and CO2. The air turbine for ventilation is electronically controllable and adjustable in 10% steps.

Communication & Safety

Safety plays a major role in Memmert appliances. Storage of the program sequence is ensured even in the event of a power failure. Programming can be carried out via the AtmoCONTROL software, as well as data transfers from the data logger via an Ethernet interface or a USB port.

The Memmert AutoSAFETY offers an additional integrated over- and under-temperature monitoring ("ASF") with visual as well as acoustic alarm and automatic switch-off in case of over- or under-temperature. An integrated self-diagnosis system assists in fault finding.

A mechanical temperature limiter is installed for temperature monitoring. In addition, a temperature selection monitor or a temperature selection limiter can be set via the display.

Standard scope of delivery

The units of this series are equipped with two electropolished stainless steel grids as standard. Built-in is a fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking and compression door latch and inner glass doors.

Interior

For example, the stainless steel interior offers a volume of 256 l in the medium model size. The dimensions are 640 mm x 800 mm x 500 mm in width, height and depth (WxHxD) minus 33 mm in depth for the fan. A total of 9 shelves can be placed in the interior, with a maximum load of 20 kg per shelf and 200 kg per unit.

Housing

The structural stainless steel case measures 824 mm x 1552 mm x 685 mm in width, height and depth (WxHxD). In addition, there is 56 mm in depth for the door handle.

A fully galvanized sheet steel back panel is attached to the rear of the enclosure. The net weight (without packaging) is approx. 165 kg.
