Labbox respirator mask, FFP3, for single use
The Labbox FFP3 disposable respirator is specially designed to effectively filter out highly toxic particles in laboratory and industrial environments. With its outstanding filter performance, it protects the user from a wide range of solid and liquid particles, even during intensive processes and work under strict safety requirements. Compared to conventional disposable masks, it impresses with its robust design and high wearing comfort.
High performance for reliable protection
This FFP3 mask offers filter efficiency for particles of particularly high toxicity in accordance with EN 149:2001. It therefore meets the highest European standard for particle-filtering half masks and offers protection up to 50 times the occupational exposure limit value (OEL). It was developed under the EPIBOX brand, which is known for its high-quality and user-friendly protective equipment. The integrated nose clip and foldable design make handling easier and ensure an optimum fit. The model is available with or without an exhalation valve, which can make breathing noticeably easier even under stress. These features make it ideal for work areas where dust, mist or vapors are present.
The most important technical features are summarized below:
- FFP3 protection level for protection against highly toxic particles
- High protective effect up to 50 x TLV
- Complies with EN 149:2001 for particle-filtering half masks
- Foldable design for space-saving storage
- Optional exhalation valve for improved comfort
- Adjustable nose clip for optimal fit
- Disposable mask without reusable components
Additional data such as storage temperature was not specified by the manufacturer; however, this product scores points for its durable materials, which enable safe use even in demanding environments. However, in the event of temporary storage, it is recommended that the mask is stored in a clean, dry environment so that its microfilter structure is not impaired.
Certifications and standards
This mask is classified as an FFP3 mask model in accordance with EN 149:2001. Users can therefore rely on the highest safety standards when it comes to protection against particles in the hazardous concentration range. Especially in areas where the concentration of respirable particles or aerosols is high, the FFP3 marking is an indispensable quality feature. The manufacturer also ensures compliance with other European standards and directives, such as the CE marking, in order to guarantee operators a certified occupational safety product.
Concrete application examples
The compact folding function and high level of protection make this disposable mask ideal for a wide range of applications. It is typically used in the following situations:
- Chemical laboratories: For handling highly reactive substances or powders (e.g. cadmium compounds)
- Pharmaceutical production: protection from active ingredients and fine powder particles in tablet production
- Paint and spray booths: When spraying hazardous paint particles and vapors
- Metal processing: protection against metal dust and toxic residues, for example during grinding and welding
It is also suitable for a wide range of other industries in which fine dusts, mists or highly hazardous substances are used. Thanks to the high filter performance and comfortable fit, the user's performance is maintained even when worn for long periods of time
FAQs
How often can this mask be worn
?
This variant is designed as a disposable product and should be replaced after a single use, but at the latest after soaking.
How can I optimize the fit of the mask?
Use the adjustable nose clip and adjust the mask straps to ensure the closest possible contact with the face. This ensures an effective seal.
When is the mask with exhalation valve recommended?
An exhalation valve ensures a more comfortable outflow of air, which makes breathing easier, especially under high physical exertion or in areas with high temperatures.
Do you need additional protective equipment?
In addition to this FFP3 mask, complete protective equipment is often recommended for highly hazardous chemicals or processes, consisting of safety goggles, chemical protective gloves and a protective gown.
What particle sizes are filtered out
FFP3 masks can safely capture very fine particles such as smoke, bacteria or viruses as well as toxic dusts, as their filter structure is designed for the smallest aerosols.
Conclusion
This high-performance FFP3 mask stands out from conventional disposable masks thanks to its robust workmanship and high level of protection. It meets important standards such as EN 149:2001 and offers an excellent balance between safety and comfort. Users in laboratories, industry, pharmaceuticals, metalworking and other high-risk areas benefit from its reliable seal and optional exhalation valve. It ensures uninterrupted performance even during complex or prolonged activities and significantly reduces the risk of exposure to hazardous particles.
