Labbox respirator mask, FFP1, for single use
This disposable mask is specially designed to filter solid and liquid particles of low toxicity under demanding laboratory and production conditions. With its FFP1 protection rating, it meets key occupational safety requirements and provides a reliable barrier in environments where low levels of exposure occur. At the same time, the model features a lightweight design and an adjustable nose clip. Compared to simpler face masks in particular, this version scores points with its proven efficiency, ensuring optimum protection.
Effective filtration and high wearing comfort
The disposable respirator from Labbox presented here offers consistent protection up to four times the applicable limit value (TLV). Its spherical design ensures an even distribution of the airflow, which reduces breathing resistance and does not place unnecessary strain on the user, even when worn for long periods. In addition, the adjustable nose clip enables a tight fit for different face shapes, reducing the leakage rate to a minimum.
The stable fit and homogeneous material structure allow the protection factor to be reliably utilized. The low weight of the mask plays a key role here, as it is easy to handle and hardly restricts freedom of movement. Particularly in laboratory environments where precision work is required, any additional strain can have a negative impact on the quality of work. With this model, however, the field of vision remains largely unobstructed and the wearer can move around as usual.
The mask comes from the EPIBOX brand and is supplied as a disposable version. This eliminates the need for time-consuming disinfection, which is common with reusable masks. Especially in areas where there is a frequent risk of contamination, regular replacement can be useful to maintain maximum protection.Important technical features in bullet points:
- FFP1 protection level according to EN 149:2001
- Filtration for solid and liquid particles of low toxicity
- Adjustable nose clip for a stable fit
- Spherical shape with low breathing resistance
- Protection up to 4 x TLV
- Single use with low weight
- EPIBOX brand
In addition, it should be emphasized that the product does not require any additional cleaning and care. Thanks to its single use, it can be disposed of properly immediately after use. For sensitive laboratory work - for example with organic samples or more harmless solvents - this means a welcome relief in terms of hygiene regulations.
Certifications and standards
As an FFP1 mask, this model is certified in accordance with EN 149:2001. This standard regulates the requirements, test methods and markings for particle-filtering half masks to ensure that users receive reliable protection in accordance with European directives. Accordingly, the product provides protection against aerosols and particles that can occur during activities in laboratories, workshops or production facilities.
Examples of use
- Dust exposure in cleanrooms or during sample preparation: The low level of self-contamination due to FFP1 particle filtration makes this mask the ideal choice in areas with minimal but constant dust or powder exposure.
- Handling harmless chemicals: For short-term work with harmless spray mists or light vapors, the mask provides a barrier to efficiently trap particles.
- Maintenance and cleaning work in laboratory equipment: If, for example, deposits in technical equipment need to be removed or pipette tips need to be sorted, the filtering material helps to block fine particles.
- Quality control in production environments: The model prevents the inhalation of dust, particularly during random sample analyses of dry bulk material, and is impressively comfortable to wear.
FAQs
How often can the mask be used
?
The mask is designed for single use. Subsequent reuse is not recommended to ensure hygiene and protection.
Can this mask be used in high-stress environments?
It is suitable for low toxicity and low concentration work environments. For very high exposures or more hazardous substances, a higher level of protection should be considered (e.g. FFP2 or FFP3).
Must protection against serious infectious agents be guaranteed?
The primary focus here is on particle filtration. For targeted infection protection, a mask with a higher seal or special medical certification is advisable.
What storage conditions are recommended
It should be a dry, low-dust and not too warm room. Direct exposure to sunlight or heat should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the filter media.
Conclusion
This FFP1 respirator offers a sensible compromise between the best possible barrier against fine dust and particles and low breathing resistance. Whether in the field of laboratory technology, quality control or occasional maintenance work - the lightweight and ergonomic design allows unhindered work while meeting high safety requirements. The practical single use prevents additional disinfection work and ensures hygienic use at all times. Thanks to the reliable filtration in combination with an adjustable nose clip, the model impresses with comfort and safety in equal measure. This makes the Labbox FFP1 disposable respirator an ideal solution for professionals who require reliable basic protection in low toxicity environments.
