KNF Vacuum Pump System SC 920 G: Chemically Resistant and Compact
The respective process conditions determine whethera wet- or dry-running pump is used. However, if you want a high level of process reliability and want to do something for the environment, the KNF vacuum pump system SC 920 G is the right choice. For example, it does not require any sealing liquid, so there is no need for constant refilling.
Process reliability and environmental protection
The main advantage of this model is that no sealing fluid is required . This eliminates the need to dispose of sealing fluids and thus also a burden on the environment.
The dry-running vacuum pumps impress with their low energy requirements, which is particularly evident in the production of biofuel.
This equipment is used particularly frequently for rotary evaporation as well as for distillation . But this model also finds its place in the field of multi-station vacuum systems, where it can be used very individually.
The technologies used
The vacuum control of the model can be programmed adaptively. For this purpose, there are four different operating modes to ensure individual use. In addition to a pressure detection system to prevent pressure surges, the pump also has a separator as well as a condenser.
Both the pump inlet and the pump outlet are thus used for solvent recovery.
Technical data
The pump system impresses with a variety of positive features, but of course also with its technical details. These include, for example, the relatively low weight of just 15 kg, so that the location of the pump can be changed at any time.
But also the operating pressure of max. 0.5 bar as well as the maximum flow rate of 21 l/min are very convincing to use it in laboratories and similar facilities.
In addition, there is another significant advantage, which lies in the corrosion resistance. This is due not least to the fact that it operates 100 percent oil-free.
Differences from other KNF systems
In addition to this system, there are other models from the manufacturer that are also chemical-resistant and stand out for many advantageous features. These include, for example:
-
LABOPORT SC 840 G CN: this is a vacuum pump system with a flow rate of 34 l/min. The system scores not only with automatic boiling point detection, which is extremely precise, but also with boiling point tracking, which is performed via the integrated ramp function. The special feature of this model is the touch-screen display, which can be operated intuitively and easily. In addition, there is a rotary knob with which precise settings can be made.
-
LABOPORT SC 820 G: this unit has a maximum flow rate of 20 l/min and is therefore one of the smaller models. Nevertheless, a high recovery rate is also evident here, as well as boiling point tracking and automatic boiling point detection. Conveniently, the model can be operated via radio remote control.
-
LABOPORT SH 840 G: the SH 840 G is also a device, which, however, brings along a rather high delivery rate. The 34 l/min as well as the six mbar are ideal to use it in the field of corrosive and aggressive vapors and gases. In addition, this model has an integrated speed control as well as a gas ballast valve.
