Optimal distillation tasks with the KNF RC 600
As an indispensable piece of laboratory equipment, a rotary evaporator such as the KNF RC 600 is mainly used for distillation in the laboratory and for the evaporation or processing of solvents and liquid substances.
The unit is extremely robust, compact and particularly safe. Operation is child's play, so that even beginners can quickly learn to use it. This model is equipped with a user-friendly and central control unit for all functions.
It is designed for simple and safe operation . Flask changes are uncomplicated, the heating bath is cordless, and the compact dimensions mean that only a small amount of space is required for the unit overall.
Ideal for universities
This model is particularly suitable for training students, as it is robust and easy to operate. Thus, this device meets the requirements of university institutions in particular. All safety aspects of a practical laboratory are fulfilled here because the device can permanently withstand intensive use.
Compact design and easy handling
The device, which is compact for an evaporator, has several flasks in which the liquid can be held for evaporation. The on/off switch is located on the front. The device has a knob for a rotary control and it has a keypad in a membrane keypad for individual push buttons.
A display provides information about the state of the device and the settings that have been made. The unit is equipped with a glass set of steam tube, cooling condenser, receiving flask (1000 ml), flask clamp for receiving flask and evaporating flask (1000 ml).
The scope of delivery also includes a heating bath, a set of hose olives with 1x hose olive ID8 (vacuum) and 2x hose olive ID8 (coolant) and 2x hose clamp ID8.
Optionally, there is also a protective hood and a refill valve. Also included as standard are a power cable, an operating manual, a quick reference guide as well as a solvent table and a CD with a digital operating manual.
Working safely with the RC 600
This model is intended for use in chemical, pharmaceutical and biological laboratories. It is intended for the separation of solutions (distillation, drying, recovery and extraction). The place of use should be dry for this purpose.
The instrument must always remain protected from rain, splashing, gushing and dripping water. It should only be used indoors. The rotary evaporator should only be used under a fume hood or protective hood.
The rotary evaporator has been designed in accordance with the safety regulations of Directives 2004/108/EC, 2006/42/EC and 2011/65/EU. The standards DIN EN 61010-1, DIN EN 61010-2-010 and DIN EN 61326-1 are fulfilled.
