The condensate-compatible KNF vacuum pump system SR 820
Vacuum pump systems are needed in many laboratories. They are used where constant and clean vacuum is required. The pump systems are available in different performance sizes and with different components.
The KNF SR 820 vacuum pump system is equipped with a chemical-resistant diaphragm vacuum pump, making it very precise in its operation.
The most important details of the system
The system is a very environmentally friendly and maintenance-free system. It is characterized by its high steam and condensate compatibility . Importantly, the unit is chemically resistant, making it particularly suitable for highly aggressive and corrosive gases and vapors.
The diaphragm vacuum pump in the product line is a dry-running unit that incorporates a KNF self-drying system . This diaphragm was developed using the finite element method.
This development extends the service life of the diaphragm. In addition to the pump, the model further consists of a base plate, two separators mounted on the suction and discharge sides, and the tubing.
Overview of technical data
In this section you will see a brief overview of the technical data of this model.
Dimensions
The dimensions of the model are 312 mm x 227 mm x 252 mm (L x H x W). The weight is specified at 11.6 kilograms. With this weight, the system has a firm stand and finds the appropriate place on any laboratory table due to its dimensions.
Motor
The power of the motor is 10 watts. The entire system is designed to be connected to a mains voltage of 230 volts and a frequency of 50 hertz. The current consumption is 0.7 amperes.
Working range
The system is designed for use in a laboratory. The ambient and gas temperature in and with which the device can work accurately is specified as + 5 °C to + 40 °C. Due to the protection class of the motor (IP 44) it is also possible to work in a humid environment.
Material of the pump head parts
The pump head parts that touch the medium are made of different materials. The pump head is made of PTFE, the diaphragms are PTFE coated and the valves are made of FFPM.
Standard
The motor of the pump has IP protection class 44 according to EN 60034 part 5, which means that the motor is protected against the penetration of solid foreign bodies that have a diameter of more than one millimeter and against the penetration of splash water from all sides.
Other models in the product series
The system is available in various versions. These also include the SR 820 G and the SR 840 G. Like the basic model, both are designed for very corrosive and aggressive gases and vapors.
-
Laboport SR 820 G: This model has dimensions of 260 mm x 282 mm x 234 mm. The flow rate of this system is 20 standard liters per minute (LPM).
-
Laboport SR 840 G: The SR 840 G model is the largest of the units, measuring 274 mm x 340 mm x 416 mm. The flow rate is 34 standard liters per minute (LPM).
