IKA G-L: Powerful centrifuge for your laboratory

Centrifuges from IKA are an indispensable part of the laboratory. They are suitable for all types of separation processes. The range of application is not only in medical diagnostics and clinical laboratories, but also in DNA research or blood bank work.

The quality midi centrifuge

The IKA G-L is the ideal midi centrifuge for all types of separation processes, such as those in molecular biology. It is used for substance separation at medium speeds. The centrifuge works with standard 1.5 / 2 ml tubes. However, a PCR strip can also be used.

Another model of this series

The devices from IKA are compact and powerful. With a weight of 1.4 kg, this model allows a centrifugal acceleration of 2000 G. The speed of this device is not adjustable, but is constant 6000 rpm.

Clear display

Easy operation is ensured by the membrane keypad. A state-of-the-art display with three indicators allows easy setting of speed, timer or programs. The rpm/rcf value and the timer setting are each shown on a separate display. The selected program is shown on the third display.

Safety features

Safety features include a metal lid and automatic lid opening. The unit starts only when the lid is closed. The lid does not open until a button is pressed. The centrifuge is equipped with an unbalance sensor and a quick stop function .

The safety system allows you to view and adjust current error messages immediately. In case of power failure, the lid can be opened with an emergency button.

Technical data at a glance

With a weight of 3.9 kg , the dimensions in width, height and depth are 200 mm × 140 mm × 280 mm. The device operates with a centrifugal acceleration of 16500 G. The centrifuge is suitable for both Eppendorf tubes and PCR reaction strips.

The capacity is 12 × 1.5 / 2.0 ml. A 65 W motor ensures a speed of up to 15,700 rpm. The speed is adjustable in steps of 100 from 800 – 15 700 rpm.

Further questions about the product and its mode of operation

As a rule, a centrifuge applies the physical aspect of mass inertia and is therefore often used for substance separation. Suspensions, gas mixtures but also emulsions can be easily separated with the device. For the processing of small-volume substances, the high-quality small, micro and mini centrifuges are indispensable.
