Features and functions

CO2 incubators are designed to enable the development of tissue and cell cultures in a lifelike manner. In vitro incubation is performed under CO2 fumigation.

This model is ideally suited for the cultivation of tissues and cells. It is supplied with a sterilizable sensor and comes in the popular ANTI.PLENUM design. The probability of contamination inside the unit is reduced by a factor of 3.

The incubator is equipped with a 180 °C sterilization routine and withstands the highest requirements for cell growth. This model belongs to the premium class of binder incubators and guarantees you maximum sample safety. It operates in a temperature range of 7 °C to 60 °C (above RT) and features a VENTAIR(TM) air jacket system. The instrument is equipped with an LCD color display and shows the most important parameters such as O2, CO2 concentration, humidity and temperature.

The intuitive input elements, such as the rotary or push button, ensure user-friendly operation. The various parameters can be displayed in different graphs. An electronic chart recorder completes the versatile features and functions of the device.

In addition to the CB 60 model, Binder GmbH offers many other versions within this series. The CB series models include, for example, the 56-series, the 170-series and the 260-series. The CB 56, for example, has an interior volume of 53 liters. The CB 170, on the other hand, has an interior volume of 170 lit ers.

The CB 260 model can hold 267 liters , making it ideal for a large number of tissue and cell sample incubations . All units in this product series feature the proven, innovative as well as Binder technologies.

Functional design and practical extras

This instrument is equipped with a real-time clock and features a drift-free CO2 infrared absorption measuring system. In accordance with DIN 58947, hot air sterilization takes place at 180 °C. The carbon dioxide is introduced through a patented gas mixing nozzle. The special ANTI.PLENUM design reduces the risk of contamination.

Furthermore, the unit is equipped with a double tray humidification system and has a defined condensation point. The inner walls remain free of condensation. This is where the so-called PermadryTM system provides support. Optimum temperature is ensured by central monitoring. A class 3.1 temperature selector monitor operating in accordance with DIN 12880 is equipped with an acoustic and a visual temperature alarm.

The unit has an inner door made of robust safety glass. This closes particularly tightly and does not let out the introduced CO2. The model also offers three stainless steel shelves (perforated) and features a 2-point door lock.

Optimum control and plenty of safety

With software such as APT-COMTM DataControlSystem, you can access the unit via the Ethernet interface. The CO2 incubator has a gas mixing nozzle through which carbon dioxide is introduced.

This gas mixing nozzle is patented and works particularly efficiently. And the class 3.1 temperature selector monitor also ensures a high level of safety. It is designed in accordance with DIN 12880 and has both a visual and an acoustic temperature alarm. The incubator has a hot air sterilization system (180 °C) that complies with DIN 58947. All these safety mechanisms ensure an optimal growth environment for cells and tissues.

The CB 60 offers an interior volume of 53 liters and can withstand a load of 10 kg per insertion plate. The total permissible load is specified as 30 kg.
