We start the grilling season with our delicious MedSolut marinade. For the preparation, our host Vincent Schneiderstrong, has taken a very special tool to hand – the magnetic stirrer. Whether it’s steak, ribs or shish kebab, we’ll show you how to give your grilled meats an exquisite flavor while saving on dishes. 

Recipe: The MedSolut barbecue marinade

These are the ingredients you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup (or chili sauce)
  • Garlic to your taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optionally, you can add other herbs and spices, depending on your preference.

First, place all ingredients in a mixing bowl, jar or similar container.If you do not have the Phoenix Instruments magnetic stirrer at hand, mix all ingredients together vigorously with a blender or whisk for a few minutes so that a creamy consistency is created. The finished marinade is now excellent to apply with a brush on the meat or vegetables to be marinated. For a more intense taste experience, we recommend that you refrigerate the marinated barbecue ingredients for a few hours and let them “steep”. Then it’s off to the grill and bon appétit!

About the RSM 14-HP from Phoenix Instruments

Let’s take a look at the magnetic stirrer that we use in the video to prepare the marinade. The RSM 14-HP from our manufacturer Phoenix Instruments comes with an aluminum heating plate covered by porcelain, which can be heated up to 380 °C. In addition, the device includes a connection for external PT-1000 and built-in temperature control. This allows you to control the heat as you wish.

Depending on the size of the vessel that you place on the plate, you can achieve the best possible mixing result with the help of the associated magnetic stirring bars. You can use both a glass vessel and an aluminum mixing bowl – the important thing is that the vessel is heat-resistant. The temperature and speed controls and LED display then allow you to precisely control and monitor the stirring process.
