The flu season is just around the corner. And as if it wasn't enough this year, public institutions such as schools, daycare centers and medical practices in particular have to think about how best to protect their premises from the pathogens due to the coronavirus. Many are already using special air disinfection devices.

Safe, virus-free rooms thanks to air disinfection devices

The increasing number of cases of people infected with the coronavirus shows once again that the end of the pandemic is not yet in sight. It is therefore important to be optimally prepared, especially at the start of the cold and flu season.

Especially for institutions and companies that receive many people every day, it is now time to rethink. In addition to mandatory masks and distance regulations, there are other measures that can be taken to provide visitors and customers with a germ-free, healthy indoor climate. Both UVC air sterilizers and filter cleaning devices are increasingly being used. These are suitable for a wide variety of areas:

  • Medical facilities
  • Day care centers and schools
  • Pharmacies
  • Open-plan offices
  • Stores and restaurants
  • Hairdressing salons and beauty parlors
  • Public institutions and transportation
  • Food industry
  • Refrigeration and storage rooms

How do air sterilizers work?

In general, air sterilizers with filters or UVC radiation manage to eliminate over 90% of suspended particles. And all this without chemicals. For a long-lasting healthy indoor climate, most devices can even remain in operation all day.

The so-called UVC air purifiers draw in the ambient air via a built-in fan. Thereupon the UVC radiation is absorbed by the DNA which leads to the fact that the cell division is prevented and micro organisms die. People can stay in the premises without any risk.

Clinics and medical practices are increasingly using filtering devices. The core of the air sterilizer here consists of a filter package, which you can easily insert and replace as needed. The filter, usually made of paper or woven fabric, ultimately removes the smallest particles of fine dust, allergens as well as numerous other pollutants from the air. Germs and pathogens therefore no longer have a chance!

Which device is suitable for my rooms?

Medical or phsysiotherapy practices, hairdressing salons and law firms that have a room volume of about 45m³ use the UVG-18. The UV device is often used here to clean waiting areas and guarantee customers or patients the appropriate protection.

But Dinies air purifiers are certainly also suitable for larger spaces. For example, the models UVG80 for about 100 m³ or UVG360 for 400 m³. You can find an overview of our most popular air purifiers in our UV technology category.

Our manufacturers BioSan, Dinies or UV-Technik Meyer produce first-class devices for air purification in closed rooms.
